[Return to Emergency Operating Plan]

What's the EOP nuance if we LOSE COMMUNICATIONS?  (example: Solar Storm)

(Future:  I need to study this Neighborhood Communications Planning .pdf!)

  • Remember:  Our alternate communications plan is:
    • Radios (we'll develop our communications plan below, shortly).
      •
      •
      •
      •
    • Or PHYSICALLY communicating via a tapestry of key CHURCHES throughout the metro area.  See our Metro Ministry Map.
  • And think 9 counties.
  • 3 tiers of counties, with Marion, Hamilton & Johnson as the key center-points.  They'll communicate with lateral counties.
    • Marion County as center of the center.
    • HHOOT ministry as center of the center of the centers.
    • Dispatch communicators to there.
    • Decide further activation.
  • Then cities within the counties.
  • Then key neighborhood churches within cities.
  • Think motorcycles, bicycles... or lastly... runners/walkers.

Future Consideration re this subject:

  • Emergency Power Generators NOT dependent on digital controls?
  • Amateur (HAM) Radio - link to remember
