Role Overview:   #LeadersScale

Leaders lead-out, passionately, toward a job that desperately needs to get done.  Servant-leaders lead-out by serving, taking on hard goals.  By doing so, they (unintentionally) build their 'moral authority'.  Thus people follow these kinds of leaders, even trying to accomplish hard things.  Dr. Perkins says real leader 'enter into the pain of the people'!  (Oh don't get me wrong, people/fans/groupies crowd around -- not really 'follow' anywhere though -- charismatic personalities, sports stars, Hollywood celebs and rock-star preachers too, but no 'mission' gets accomplished.)  Leaders empower and support.  "Power is like electric currency. It should be equally distributed for all to use." The leader of any team (think 'molecule') is the visionary one (and the pretty much the only one) who can 'SCALE' by extending impact via partnering with other great teams to provide prayer-care-share relief to an incident.  If he or she suboptimizes by getting labored down in the operations, everyone suffers.  Thus he or she needs to quickly delegate implementation responsibilities to the Operations officer, and then set about to scale by collaborating with other teams to provide much more robust solutions to any situation.
