Central Indiana Prison Ministries

Page history last edited by Bob Hutt 12 years, 2 months ago

PEN Products' Job Placement Program was developed for offender workers who consistently demonstrate the desire to learn job skills and develop a positive work ethic.

PEN's staff works side-by-side with these offenders on a daily basis, teaching and guiding them in the direction needed for successful re-entry into society. Offenders learn through work experience, on-the-job and specialized training through the U.S. Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program.

How do prison releases impact your business & community?

■17,000+ Indiana offenders are released annually and only 50% of these obtain employment.
■85% of ex-offenders who commit new crimes are unemployed at the time of their re-arrest.
■Recent nationwide studies show that participants in correctional industries programs have lower recidivism rates, as much as 24% lower than those did not work in correctional industries.

YOU can do something to change this trend!
