Mapping

Page history last edited by indychristian 2 years, 1 month ago

Let's quickly outline the value of mapping, and some how-to's...

...in support of all things urgent/important, eg @CityVOST.

Objectives/Planned Outcomes:

  • Actually start mapping -- adding more key dots to an existing community-map.
  • Participants will envision the possibilities.
  • Participants will know how to create a customized map.
  • Come up with a list of ways we can better COLLABORATE in our various map-building initiatives.
  • Each participant be inspired to write/post/tweet their conclusions & further ideas.
  • Derive future activity & leadership, to keep progress moving forward.
  • Shoot raw footage for upcoming training video.

Who are some capable mappers?

What to map?

  • The pervasive, connected, body-of-Christ at your city
  • Disabilities-ministry churches in your city.  (eg Indy

Examples of Mapping:

Example of capability needed -- Let's quickly build a map from an Excel file of addresses.

  • MapAList -- advocated by @WillMancini

Brainstorming  (Everyone)

  • What can you imagine?  How could 5,000 e-capable Christians in 5,000 mapped neighborhoods accelerate the mission at hand?
  • Technically speaking... How should we collaborate in the many mapping initiatives?
  • What gadgets & apps should we promote among our constituencies?
  • Where do neighborhood cell-groups and our other constituencies fit in, as a great part of the solution?

Where Do We Go From Here?
