Thoughts...

• Urban subsidies?  Obviously our urban volunteers face an obstacle that most of our suburban vols don't face:  they will very often NOT be able to afford the $10 registration fee; but they WOULD be willing to volunteer.   (Neil is soliciting funds.  We currently have commitments by 4 people @ $100... of which 1 has paid already).  Our objective is to create $10 coupons to be distributed as needed, as long as they last... thus giving the coupon-holders the same privileges as all other registrants... including the tshirt.  [After the coupons run out, volunteers can still register even if they don't have the coupon, but no tshirts will be available for them.  So we need to get as many coupons funded as possible, so that no one will feel like a 2nd-class participant.]

• Tshirts in advance... They're a great form of promo, and to 'pull the trigger' on getting involved.  But the issue seems to be one of cash-timing.  See if we can get a micro-loan to order a stockpile to have some on-hand year-round... then order frequently.  Objective:  Have way more people registered IN ADVANCE, as a result.

• Let's be sure and get our key vols to all register MONTHS ahead, and get their tshirts... and wear them often... as promotional.  And buy them for others, to help promote FHL year-round.
