Peace, Justice & Reconciliation...   (Greater Indianapolis)

If the Church will BE the Church and DO what Christ calls us to be doing, won't this prosper the cause of peace, justice and reconciliation in our communities?  We believe it will.

How can this be accomplished better, TOGETHER as the body of Christ, than separately?

  •
  • Here's at least ONE upcoming meeting between faith-based & public leaders to work together toward some community.
  • A new 'Special Forces' initiative is underway, to better prepare interested Christians for assisting neighborhood in crisis situations.
  • All our neighborhood groups are vitally interested in these issues. Example:  Westside Community Ministries.  And Near Eastside Christian Revitalization Coalition.
  • Reconciliation Conference (2009) -- planning is already underway via a citywide task force sponsored by Crossroads Bible College.

Here are at least some links to keep track of, re ministries focused on peace, justice & reconciliation...

  • (See our Christian Counseling page.]
  • The Unleavened Bread Cafe is a great place to bring people together.
  • Christamore House (Olgen Williams, Director) always seems to take a leading role in peace & justice issues.
  • Save Our Youth (Byron Alson) is a ministry to youth involved in gangs.
  • ___________  -- westside pastoral group re crime, justice & reconciliation???  (Olgen Williams, Pastor Harrison, and Brian Williams... any of them could be contacted for details, I think.)
  • Pastor David Greene (Second Baptist) is actively involved in peace issues.
  • Crossroads Bible College is a unique bible college in that it specifically trains toward a MULTICULTURAL approach to cityreaching.
