Innovative Courses...

[drafting... stay tuned... or add great links below.]

Specialty college courses designed for the 'Center For Urban Innovation'

'Innovation' connotes radical positive change.  Opportunities for such change may be found hidden under foundational misconceptions & misapplications.  The Bible is our ultimate guide for the mission at hand.  Thus the courses below represent exploration and application of scriptural principles to be applied to the Great Commission in the 21st Century.

  • "New Media For Urban Change"    This 3 credit-hr course examines and tests new opportunities for urban change in the 21st Century resulting from Christians leveraging technological advances in internet communications.

  • "Searching & Researching For Change"  This 3 credit-hr course will optimally equip participants to explore & exploit best-models for assessing sustainable change in communities & neighborhoods.

  • "Model Church 101"  -- This 3 credit-hr course will challenge our thinking about the current configuration of the (American) 'Church'... calling us to a more biblical and effective model & mission.  [We're starting to collect some ideas here.]

  • "21st Century Leadership" -- This 3 credit-hr course will examine the role & revitalized responsibilities of leadership of 21st Century Christ-followers... given a potential reformation of understanding The Church and our collective mission in the world today.   [We're collecting some inputs already at... What Is A Model Urban Leader?]

  • YOUR thoughts?   Do you know of other truly-innovative courses focused on reaching our cities for Christ?  If so, please add links below for us to consider and/or partner-with.]
    • Let's revisit "Computer 101" and potentially overhaul it more toward how people USE computers today... ie, internet, networking, etc..
