Here's what's currently playing in our daily citywide tv...

Delivering key communications directly to cityreachers' cell-phones should be a key objective. Btw, the more of you that build a 'community tv' player like this, the more shows each of us will have available. I'd especially like to see us develop 9 (county) players. So think about getting a Splashcast ID and let's talk more about that, soon.

The Citywide Communications Team So Far...
- Purpose: We passionately serve the larger mission (the whole Great Commission in our metro area) by developing & being... an optimized communications system... both listening and speaking... pervasively throughout the metro area... and beyond.
- Building A Core Communication Team (Tree) -- 6 Core Values of the Core Team are (drafting)...
- 1. Strong belief in the common mission... CityReaching Principles & Define CityReaching.
- 2. Strong belief in solid communication system. It's not the only thing needed, but without it no team is really a team.
- 3. Each of us will at least use the common tools of choice (probably Facebbook, GoogleDocs and cell-phone).
- 4. Each of us will faithfully pass along core communications to my 'tree'... weekly, and in case of emergencies.
- 5. Each of us will be accountable to faithfully communicate upwardly as well... weekly and in case of emergencies.
- 6. Because core communications are so vital, each of us pledges to help speed the growth of the core communications team (tree), and help optimize its quality.
- Core Communications Strategy: Send a core communication weekly, or in case of emergencies. Send it through the core communications team primarily, with expectation each core communicator will proliferate it through their unique channels as well.
- What is a core message? Weekly, the most important one or few messages that the team leadership deems as high priority. And we'll be open to the team leadership also occasionally sending an emergency message through the chain.
- Who's in the core tree/chain? Think of the Tip-of-the-Spear image. Any team needs a sharp, hardened wedge of communicators who will not only carry the 'team' type message to other communications team members, but who will also carry 'broadcast' type messages (when designated as such) to their constituency, whether part of their accountable tree of communicators or not.
- Who is the 'leadership' who'll prioritize key messages? To be decided shortly... and could easily include those key leaders whom we serve. One minimum requirement for such a 'leader', is their advocacy for cityreaching principles & purpose. And perhaps to the (drafted) key goals, as illustrated by our metrics on the Indy Scorecard.
- What are the ultimate concentric circles of people we're hoping to proliferate the message to? (drafting an image to demonstrate that, shortly). (drafting out loud... Core Communications Team... each is paired with a key leader... At some level of concentric circles, they fan out geo-graphically hitting all the key neighborhoods... and then the key churches in those neighborhoods... being sure to hit the prayer-coordinators... and also the other key targets... ie, leaders, communicators, evangelists, compassion-leaders, and innovators.
